This is a newly created role to be based from our office in Ahmedabad, India. The Network Administrator will support, monitor, , and troubleshoot hardware and software problems pertaining to the network server environment in order to ensure optimum operation. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a Datacentre, & SAN Server Infrastructure. The job holder will also be responsible, in the short term, for supporting end users.
Core Responsibilities Working within a Datacentre environment, the scope of the role will include, but not limited to, the following:
Managing network servers to maximum availability and performance.
Maintaining user accounts and implementing server security procedures.
Interacting with staff from multiple departments and teams across a number of global locations including managing calls from other offices in Asia Pacific region
Monitoring and notifying any connectivity problems detected with production servers

Skills & Attributes This role is likely to suit an individual with an IT customer service background who has progressed into Network Administration. Realistic scope for career growth is available for the right individual.
To be considered for this position you must be able to demonstrate :
a) Experience at working in an Enterprise Datacentre Environment
b) Proven experience of Storage Area Networks (SANs)
c)Proven server 2003 /2008 Infrastructure experience
d) Proven Vmware Virtualisation experience in ESX 3.x or 4.x
e) 5 years + work experience gained in the IT sector
This knowledge and experience will be further supported by a degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Candidates will ideally have previous hands on experience of CISCO routers, switches and VOIP technologies.
Certification as MCSE, CCNA or CCNP highly desirable.
