Job Description
Designation: Linux Administrator / Sr. Administrator Linux
Function: Linux Reporting to: GM - Technology
Experience: 2-5 years
CTC 2.5 – 5 L pa
Primary Responsibility:
Research into new technologies that can enhance productivity for us or our customers. Obtain product, test it and document for deployment.
Installing and managing file, vpn, mail, dns, web, application and backup servers in diverse environments.
Improving monitoring systems
Improving processes and scripts required to add functionality and improve productivity.
Troubleshooting for web technologies, Apache, tomcat, jboss
Develop and implement standards and processes for change and configuration management
Configure, and tune high availability Linux systems
Compose, edit, and maintain internal documentation for IT team
Guide in implementing, executing, maintaining, and documenting proper back-up and recovery procedures
Training and mentoring team members.
To able to perform in 24 x 7 Environment in shift roaster
Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills .
Knowledge & Skills required:
Candidate Must have experience
Linux/Solaris/Unix
Apache (virtual hosting, SSL & load balancing)
Tomcat Server Administration
Shell or Perl Scripts
Firewall knowledge
VMWare
Kernel tuning
Routing, NFS, NIS, NIC Bonding, Sendmail, SSH and other TCP/IP services
Non-Technical skills
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills are required along with some software development experience
Ability to work well with customer
Strong Documentation skills and orientation
Excellent Leadership skills are required
Self motivated and ability to motivate others
Qualification:
Dip / Graduate / BE / BTech + Certifications
